We are blessed by His Holiness Pope Francis visit to United States last month. We can see the presence of God in His Holiness Pope Francis noble and humble character, his radiant smile, his sparkling eyes and glow on his face. His Holiness Pope Francis practices what he preaches and walks his talk. His Holiness Pope Francis words have the power to impact the lives of the people. He loved meeting children and blessed them. He even visited children at their school in New York.
His Holiness Pope Francis held Junipero Serra Canonization Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at Washington D.C.
Did you know you have been to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception when you were about 4 years old. This Basilica is the largest church in United States and has 70 chapels honoring Mary from different parts of the world. There is a statue of Mary, Mother of Good Health Velankanni Matha of India. We went to this church in a bus with your Plainsboro Christian friends and their parents and their church members. Your friend's dad asked me to make parippu vada "Lentil fritters" for the church members and I spent the whole day before the trip making them and I am happy I did it for them. We saw the beautiful Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception and all the statues of Mary and attended mass and prayed there. You both enjoyed the trip.
Did you know Mary and baby Jesus appeared three times in Velankanni in South India. In the 16th century, Mary and baby Jesus appeared twice. The first time to a little boy who was resting by the pond on his way to sell milk. The second time she appeared to another crippled little boy, who was selling buttermilk and healed him. A chapel was built at the site of her second appearance. In the 17th century, she appeared to Portuguese merchant sailors and rescued them from a shipwreck. The Portuguese sailors thanked Jesus and Mary at the chapel and reconstructed the church.
Your Bangalore Papa and Mummy used to take us to Velankanni Basilica every other year during our summer holidays. This beautiful church was built by the seashore, which was an added bonus for us as children. Opposite to the main church and a long walk away is the chapel built where Mary appeared to the child the first time. There are huge Stations of the cross on the way to the chapel from the church.

We can see the U.S. motto "In God we trust" that is inscribed on the wall behind His Holiness Pope Francis.
Pope reminded us of the golden rule - Do unto others as you would like them to do unto you.

Pope reminds us that "The yardstick we use for others, is the yard stick that time will use for you." Very true. God is watching everything we think, do and say. We reap what we sow. Hence, sow only good seeds by your thought, word and action. Never ever sow bad seeds.
You both, my precious children knew the golden rule very well when you were little. I hope you, my handsome sweethearts, are following the golden rule in everything you think, say and do.
Your mommy had spoken at the press conference in U.S. Capitol seeking justice from the U.S. Congress to be reunited with you both on December 11 2013. That day at U.S. Capitol, I watched all the Honorable U.S. Congressman unanimously pass the Honorable Congressman Chris Smith's International Parental Child Abduction bill.
Do you remember your mommy used to make you say Angel of God, Hail Mary and Our Father in Heaven prayers in the morning before you went to school and also at night before you went to sleep.
His Holiness Pope Francis requests us to respect and listen to our guardian angel, who is God's Ambassador by our side.
